Prospective families are encouraged to first visit the school to determine if it would be a good fit for the student. If the family decides to go forward with the Admission process, the following steps occur:
Assessment is an integral part of the teaching and learning process and it is a tool which aids our planning for learning. We track children's achievement, attitude and progress closely. It is mandatory for kids to be assessed before enrollment. The initial assessment is taken by a qualified Therapist/Expert, the assessment will last 1 hour (30 minutes interview with parent and 30 minutes with child), The report of the assessment will be prepared within 1 week of time and will be explained to the parent in detail and based on the assessment report the enrollment process takes place. The assessment fee will be refunded if the child is enrolled in the school.
At SKDS, we can enroll students with Autism, Down Syndrome, Cognitive Delay, Multiple and Complex Learning Difficulties, Cerebral Palsy with Cognitive Difficulties, Developmental Language disorder and all types of Neuro Developmental Disorders.
We recognize that enrollment in a special school setting may be challenging for families. We are happy to advise and provide support as you explore all the options across special and mainstream school settings. We are very happy to help you to make the most appropriate choice for your children.

An IEP (individualized Education Plan) is an educational plan/document that defines a child's special education program. It includes the services of the professionals/therapists, their periodic goals and objectives and any accommodations that must be made to assist their learning and independence. The IEP will be prepared after the two weeks of observation by our IEP team.
