INTRODUCTION

At SKDS we welcome children with special educational needs. We understand and value every child’s right to a broad and balanced education, which gives them the opportunity to realize their full potential and achieve success.

SKDS believes in equality of opportunity, and we aim to create a supportive yet challenging environment that values differences and recognizes the achievements of all children.

We recognize the importance of early intervention and assessment of children with special educational needs and disabilities. We are committed to providing full access to our intervention plans through differentiation, varied teaching styles and the best learning programs with Individualized Education Plan (IEP) for each child according to their need.


01. Admission policy

SKDS is open to all students who requires special care, regardless of their race, religion, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or disability. To apply for admission, parents must complete an Initial Assessment at the school.


02. Enrollment policy

We ensure that all students who are eligible to attend SKDS have the opportunity to do so. The school is committed to serving a diverse student population and to providing all students with a high-quality education.

Eligibility:

To be eligible to enroll at Special Kids Development School, a student must:

1.Take an Initial Assessment.

2.Have a disability- A physical or mental impairment that substantially limits a major life activity. 

3.Age Range-3 to 15

03. Behavior Management Policy

SKDS has a positive behavior management policy that is based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). The goal of the behavior management policy is to help students develop the skills they need to be successful in school and in the community.

04. Parent Involvement Policy

SKDS encourages and supports parent involvement in their child's education. Parents are invited to participate in a variety of activities, such as parent-teacher conferences, workshops, and school events. Parents are also members of the school's Parent Advisory Council.

05. Accommodations and Modifications

SKDS provides a variety of accommodations and modifications to students with disabilities. These accommodations and modifications are based on the student's individual needs and are specified in the student's IEP.
